Mr. Muschamp is TIDE’s longest tenured staff, starting as a ranger in 1999. Mario was previously a fisherman and tour guide and uses his experience in both marine and terrestrial environments, as well as expertise in bird identification, to manage Payne’s Creek National Park and all terrestrial staff. Mario was trained in fire management 2003, an important skill in the savannahs of Payne’s Creek, and is now sought after by other NGOs and the Belizean government for his excellent fire management training. Mario is from Monkey River Village and still lives there.
