Marty Alvarez

Research Assistant

Mr. Alverez was born in Belmopan and got his BSc in Natural Resource Management from the University of Belize, where he teaches part-time today (conservation development and marine ecology classes). Marty has volunteered for Ya’axche’ Conservation Trust and the Environmental Research Institute. While volunteering at TIDE, he wrote a literature review for hicatee and was selected for the Conservation Leadership Programme. He’s a member of the CLP Hicatee Research Team, just got his SCUBA certification, and is eager to apply his life-long passion for the environment as the newest member of the TIDE staff.
