The Young Woman’s Christian Association (Y.W.C.A) facilitated a one-week Culinarily Arts Training Program which culminated with a graduation ceremony held on Friday, November 18th ,2022 for twelve Punta Gorda Town Market Vendors.
The training was funded by the BTB Matching Grants Program (Inter-American Development Bank) & TIDE. The Graduates will also be receiving their Food Handlers Certificate from the Ministry of Health.
The program was based on professional standards of food handling and the importance of food safety in the domestic and tourism industries, whilst also enhancing and diversifying the dishes available for locals and tourists whilst visiting the market. Be sure to visit soon to see what’s new!
