MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
1) Environmental clean up campaign in Laguna Village and Punta Gorda seaside.
2) Recycling is a new activity. We are still in the process of collecting bottles and other materials needed to create a garbage bin inside the community.
3) Birding – this year we started to participate in the Global Big day in May and October, also participate in the Christmas bird count for Toledo, participate in the Toledo Urban bird count in Punta gorda and participate in the Yaxche Bioblitz in birding. We meet quite often with interested members who all want to learn more about birds.
4) Sport – a successful active male volleyball team in Laguna Village.
