The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) Board of Directors takes the opportunity to inform the public that Ms. Celia Mahung is retiring from her position as executive director on February 28, 2023. The board thanks Ms. Mahung for her 15 years of leadership, commitment and dedicated service and wishes her well in her new endeavors.
The TIDE Board of Directors welcomes her replacement, Mr. Asad Magaña who will shadow Ms. Mahung for a period of 2 months before taking over full leadership of the organization as executive director on March 1, 2023.
Mr. Magaña possesses a Master’s Degree in International Development & Management from Lund University, SWEDEN and has a wealth of experience in Belize and the region, in project and financial management.
TIDE welcomes Mr. Magaña and looks forward to continued growth of the organization.
